Dear Homeowners,
The Silver Ridge Farms HOA Board of Directors is providing this update to all Silver Ridge Farms Homeowners as part of our communication plan. As significant events occur and updates are needed, we want to make the information easily available to everyone. To that end, we are adding the following:
- Our website, silverridgefarms.org is setup to house all things HOA related, including covenants, notices, reminders, and contact information for the board and architectural committee and more.
- Email links to Board and Committees are available on the website to allow for faster, more direct communication for all members.
- The Facebook group, “Silver Ridge Farms HOA” remains a Private Group available to our homeowners for sharing information in a “family friendly” manner and is often the fastest way to get a message out to the community if needed.
- We will be hosting an in-person Association Annual Meeting on October 18, 6:30 PM, at the Wuest’s home, 5 Creek Crossing Way. This will allow our homeowners to get out and meet their neighbors while discussing HOA plans and issues with the Board. Please bring your own chairs.
Reminders for Members of the HOA
Several items were discussed at a recent HOA Board of Directors meeting:
- Parking Violations.
Board members have been made aware that some residents are violating the parking restrictions in the SRF Covenants. Those restrictions are as follows:
“Residents of lots shall not be allowed to park vehicles on the streets or roads except in emergencies. Unless otherwise posted, on-street parking shall be allowed to visitors and guests of the owners of lots for short durations, as long as the health, safety and convenience of other residents within the property are not impaired. The Association shall have the right to tow or otherwise remove or move any vehicle parked in violation of these restrictions, and the expense shall constitute a lien enforceable under Paragraph 6.5 below.”

- Disposal of Pet Waste Bags
The retention pond has been inundated with pet waste bags, most likely having been dropped down the storm drains while on walks. When the retention pond maintenance crew is cleaning the area, they have been tasked with removing hundreds of these bags. We strongly request that if this is your practice, you cease this practice.
- Covenant Revisions: The Board is working on and updating several provisions in our current (original) HOA covenants to reflect State or County laws and ordinances more accurately. The review of the covenants also presented the opportunity to clean up the original language by removing the references to the developers and so forth. The result of the review is Amended and Restated Covenants for Silver Ridge Farms HOA that are compliant with State and County ordinances and will be much easier to read. While the changes made to provisions to align them with State or County ordinances do not require an HOA vote, other proposed changes do require a 2/3 majority vote. To facilitate an adequate review period for everyone the amended covenants will soon be posted on the website. The Board welcomes any questions or discussion on the proposed changes prior to a final vote on the new covenants. A due date and method for voting will be determined and communicated soon.
